Assessment Overviews
Purpose: To assess the performance and progress of all students on grade level skills and assist schools with identifying students who have learning gaps and may need additional targeted support.
Grades: K – 3 (4 & 5 if needed)
Dates: Fall window is August 3rd – September 18th, Winter window is December 1st – January 22nd, and Spring window is March 16th – May 11th

Purpose: To determine English Level proficiency for students.
Grades: K-8
Dates: February 1 – March 26, 2027
Purpose: MVPA Benchmarks assess how students are performing on grade level standards and how schools are progressing towards meeting academic goals.
Grades: 2 – 8 two times a year and K – 1 optional (*Common formative assessments given in the year are also administered through Mastery Connect)
Dates: Fall Benchmark window is September 7th – September 18th and the Spring Benchmark window is March 15th – March 25th
Purpose: To measure student understanding of grade level state academic standards.
Grades: 2-8
Dates: TCAP Grades 2-5 Writing is April 7 – April 15, 2027 with the remaining tests/subjects being April 19 – May 6, 2027; TCAP Grades 6-8 Subparts 1 & 2 (Writing) must be complete by April 23 with the remaining tests/subjects (including Algebra I EOC) being April 19 – May 6, 2027
Parental/Student Notification: Families can access their child’s TCAP performance for the most recent school year using the following link: Family Portal. Individual student reports go home in the Fall of the following school year.
