Background

Welcome to Manchester City Schools! I am proud to work alongside an incredible team as we begin another school year. #WeAreCity

I am a lifelong resident of Manchester and Coffee County, and it is truly an honor to serve the community I grew up in.

I have spent my entire career in public education here, serving the students, staff, and families of our area. I started as a middle school teacher and coach, then went on to serve as Principal at Hickerson Elementary, Coffee County Middle School, and Coffee County Central High School. I have also served as Director of Instruction and Director of Attendance for Manchester City Schools before stepping into my current role as Director of Schools.

At the heart of my work is a simple truth: when children are healthy, happy, and safe, they can learn. That belief drives our mission at MCS to equip every student with the academic, social, and emotional tools they need for lifelong success. Every child matters, and we mean that.

Education runs through my home life too. My wife, Michelle, and our two sons, Silas and Sawyer, are all involved in education, and we are blessed to have Silas's wife, Claire, as part of our family as well.

Outside of school, you will usually find me at church, spending time with family, following University of Tennessee athletics, hiking, or grabbing a few quiet moments to fish whenever I get the chance.
